This Privacy Policy describes how Advanced AI Lab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and shares your information when you use our PerfectFace application (the "App"). PerfectFace is an AI-powered face beauty and photo editing application that provides face enhancement, lip color application, and other photo editing features.
By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Photos and Images
When you use the App's beauty and editing features, we access photos you select from your device's gallery. Specifically:
- Photo Data: When you apply face beauty enhancement or lip color features, your selected photo is encoded and transmitted to our cloud-based AI processing service (Tencent Cloud) for processing. The processed result is returned to your device.
- On-Device Face Detection: We use Google ML Kit Face Detection, which runs entirely on your device, to detect facial features in your photos. This data is processed locally and is not transmitted to any server.
- Temporary Processing: Photos sent to the cloud processing service are used solely for the purpose of applying the requested editing effect and are not permanently stored on our servers. They are deleted after processing is complete.
1.2 Device and Usage Information
We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, screen size, and language settings.
- Usage Data: Features used, frequency of use, and general interaction patterns.
- App Performance Data: Crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics.
1.3 Advertising Identifiers
We collect your Google Advertising ID to serve personalized advertisements and measure ad effectiveness. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
1.4 Subscription and Purchase Information
If you subscribe to our premium service, purchase information is processed through Google Play Billing. We store your subscription status, subscription type, and purchase tokens locally on your device to verify your premium access. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information; all payment processing is handled by Google Play.
1.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not access your camera (the App only accesses your photo gallery).
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact information unless you voluntarily contact us.
- We do not require account registration to use the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide Core Services: Process your photos through our AI beauty enhancement and lip color APIs to deliver the editing results you request.
- On-Device Face Detection: Detect faces in your photos locally to enable accurate application of beauty and lip color effects.
- Serve Advertisements: Display ads including banner, interstitial, rewarded video, and native ads to support the free version of the App.
- Analytics and Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve App features, fix bugs, and enhance user experience.
- Subscription Management: Verify and manage your premium subscription status.
3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We integrate the following third-party services, each of which may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

These advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve targeted ads and measure their effectiveness. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Android device settings under "Ads".

4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
The App stores the following data locally on your device:
- Premium subscription status
- App preferences and settings
- Custom lip color selections
- Temporary image processing cache
Sensitive data such as API credentials is stored using Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences with AES-256-GCM encryption.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted local storage for sensitive information
- Secure HTTPS connections for all network communications
- Signed API requests with HMAC-SHA256 authentication
- Temporary processing of photos with no permanent cloud storage
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
- Photos: Photos sent for cloud processing are not permanently stored and are deleted after the processing result is returned.
- Analytics Data: Analytics data is retained according to Firebase Analytics' standard retention policies.
- Local Preferences: Stored on your device until you uninstall the App or clear the App's data.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information. You can also delete all local data by uninstalling the App or clearing App data in your device settings.
- Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: Disable personalized advertising through your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).
- Restrict Processing: Request restriction of processing of your personal information under certain conditions.
- Data Portability: Request a copy of your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent to data processing at any time.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland (GDPR): We process your personal data based on: (a) your consent; (b) necessity for providing the services you request; and (c) our legitimate interests in improving the App and serving advertisements. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For users in California (CCPA): We do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information.

7. Permissions We Request
The App requests the following device permissions:
- Photo/Media Access: To access photos from your gallery for editing. On Android 13+, we use the READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission; on Android 14+, we also support partial photo access via READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED.
- Internet Access: To transmit photos for cloud-based AI processing, load advertisements, and perform analytics.
- Network State: To check network connectivity before making API requests.
- Advertising ID: To serve and measure advertisements.
- Notifications: To send you optional notifications about the App (with your permission).
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. 9. International Data Transfers
Your photos may be transmitted to cloud servers located outside your country of residence for AI processing. When we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including the use of encrypted transmission protocols. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in these locations.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
